This chapter is very !!!!!
With all these distractions, I fear Wang Chuji is going to die before Guo Jing and Huang Rong finally get the medicine…
Mu Yi is right not to trust Wanyan Kang with those empty promises of “in two years time”.
Bao Xiruo!!!! Finally we get to meet her again!
(I was very amused at Guo Jing concluding that Chinese women simply like to dress up as beggars or peasants in their free time, based on the two examples he‘s seen.)
Oho Wanyan Kang knows nothing about his heritage! Thinks himself a Jin! But what a cruel and mean boy he has become. That poor rabbit.
And now we finally get to hear why Honglie collected all those martial artists.
Hahaha it‘s a tomb robbing expedition! (everything comes back to Daomu Biji….).
And now there even is a snake! Poor Guo Jing, he really has bad luck (and isn‘t the smartest).
Xiao Rong‘s luck isn‘t better it seems.
Oh no! Yang Tiexin! And his wife doesn‘t recognise him at all????
This chapter is very !!!!!
Did Guo Jing just become an immortal?? At least it explains why he was suddenly feeling better after biting the snake.
The two parallel fights are really well written, I could not put this chapter away to take a break.
Huang Rong‘s school/masters will hopefully be revealed soon? She is so good! I‘m not sure Peng Lianghu‘s suggestion is true? The impression I had of Mei Chaofeng‘s martial arts does not fit what we‘ve seen of Huang Rong, but who knows!
Yang Tiexin finally goes to meet his wife! Sensible guy, he probably brought Nianci to safety first. And what a cliffhanger ending! There is no way I‘m going to wait a couple of days to read the next chapter!
I‘m guessing things will not go well with that reunion though.
A note on Huang Rong: I like her and admire her skills, but she is a tad self-absorbed and too willing to amuse herself at other‘s expense. That she delayed the medicine collecting for so long also didn‘t help. When she started listening in to Wanyan Honglie‘s grand plans, I slowly started suspecting her of following an entirely (possibly patriotic) separate agenda. Otoh, maybe she really is just very curious. Time will tell.
